Context

What changed and when

Dated events visible in the lines above. This log records what happened, not what it means.

Maintained by Glued
01 Jul 2026

Traffic from China blocked

Automated traffic classified by Shopify as non-human peaked at 62.5% of all sessions in the week of 22 June, arriving as direct. Since the block it has run between 2% and 14%. Switch the basis control to All sessions to see it.

DR-HO'S

Mar to Aug 2026

Paid media spend reduced

Paid sessions moved from 51,801 in the week of 16 March to 7,467 in the week of 24 August, a planned reduction rather than a change in performance.

DR-HO'S

Ongoing

United States visitors are routed to drhos.com

Sessions on the en-us market are counted here but those orders are placed on the other store, so en-us rows show a low conversion rate on this dashboard.

What this adds to Shopify's own reports

Shopify's admin shows one blended conversion rate. This page separates human from automated traffic and lets you switch between them.

Entry page URLs are consolidated before they are counted, so case differences, trailing slashes and market prefixes do not split one page into several rows.

Checkout completion is reported on its own, which isolates the last step from the rest of the journey.

Definitions

Conversion rate is sessions that completed checkout divided by sessions, on the basis selected in the control bar.

Add to cart and checkout counts are available for human traffic only, so the funnel stays on that basis whichever headline basis is selected.

Sources

Shopify supplies sessions, carts, checkouts, orders and the human or automated classification, read server side rather than through a browser tag.

GA4 supplies its own session count per page for comparison. A per-page bounce rate is held back until its calculation is verified.

Entry page type is derived from the URL path rather than from Shopify's own page classification, which does not populate for localised URLs and would leave 35,885 sessions unclassified.

Traffic mix is GA4's session default channel group, which Shopify's landing page report does not carry. GA4 counts sessions differently from Shopify, so mix is read as a share rather than against the Shopify session count beside it.

Revenue is Shopify net order value attributed to the entry page through Shopify's customer journey, which resolves slightly more orders than the session report does. Revenue per session divides that value by Shopify sessions.

The GA4 journey section counts ecommerce events rather than sessions, and starts at the product view step, which Shopify's session report does not carry. Its numbers are not comparable to the Shopify funnel above and are not meant to be.
